he was brought back to boost the rating and he tried to put a more conservative spin to the network, bringing on such people as Megyn Kelly. It was his desire to be a more soft-toned rival to Fox.

Maybe they will get rid of certain people on MSNBC and bring back/promote a few others. The weekday schedule seriously lacks diversity. And Chuck Todd sucks.

(42,403 posts)Don't get MSNBC (I've got Roku) but I listen on Sirius sometimes. They all, with the exception of Maddow, say the same thing, over and over and over.
CNN is similar. They are on air 24/7. You would think they'd be able to report on more than the 3 items of the day.

MSNBC's Chris Hayes responds to trending 'FireChrisHayes' hashtag over coverage of Biden allegation

I can't read it anymore bc they have this video in the way and it won't let me X it out. I hate that. Maybe you'll be able to.
Of course he's in denial mode.. he can do "no wrong".

(35,454 posts)"MSNBC host Chris Hayes responded to backlash he received this week after covering the sexual assault allegation against former Vice President Joe Biden, which resulted in "#FireChrisHayes" trending on Twitter.
"A lot of people were unhappy with the fact we covered the story, which is why you may have seen the hashtag 'FireChrisHayes' trending on Twitter yesterday. Needless to say, I received a lot of feedback about the segment, which basically fell into three categories," the "All In" host explained on his show Friday.
Hayes had focused a segment of his show Wednesday night on the allegation from Tara Reade, a former Senate aide who alleged in March that Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993. Hayes was the first prime-time host on the network to address the allegations on his show, citing information collected by a New York Times investigation.
The first category were people who basically said, 'I dont believe Tara Reade. I believe Joe Biden,'" Hayes explained on his show."

Thank you!

(35,454 posts)and proves why fed up we are with his poor form of journalism and never-ending defense of BS.
"He called the second group of critics the "'I dont care' category," saying it consisted of Democrats who see unseating President Trump as an urgent
"And then the third category, which I got a lot of, that was the most disquieting to me," Hayes said. "A whole lot of people pointing to various aspects of Reades character or her writings or her politics as a kind of proof that shes not credible, shes making it up."
Hayes said some viewers pointed to Reade's political positions, including the fact that she supported former Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and :
These are the things that have been used forever against women making these types of allegations, Hayes said. To me, the lesson of the 'Me Too' movement is not that you believe every allegation. Of course not, no.
The lesson is to take allegations seriously, to swiftly investigate the facts surrounding them as best as one can while leaving aside the worst, age-old instincts to drag the women who make those claims through the mud, he added."
Sp I guess it's ok to make false claims against a candidate and drag them through the mud.

(35,454 posts)There was unhappiness about the way he handled both the Matt Lauer & Ronan Farrow matters. Plus the networks, NBC & MSNBV, are suffering from two much crossover and overexposure of the talent. Craig Melvin does the Today show as well as MSNBC, Geist id the same for 2 examples.

(194 posts)hit piece Hayes perpetrated last week. I tweeted on his hashtag that he's lost me as a viewer permanently.
It's apparent that MSNBC's top executives have given the green light for Hayes and any other hosts who are still hoping to resurrect Sanders' campaign from the crypt to perpetrate a fallacious "investigation" of Reade's accusations.
This is a rinse and repeat from 2016 when the MSNBC reporters at Democratic Party Convention every night interviewed only Bernie supporters who stated Clinton had not convinced them to vote for her against Trump. The hundreds of Sanders Delegates there who were willing to support Hillary were totally blacklisted from MSNBC interviews.
