Trump suffered a key loss in a defamation case brought by the columnist who accused him of rape

Here is yet another case that is still ongoing against Trump arising from his numerous sexual assaults.

https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-loses-argument-lawsuit-from-woman-who-accused-him-rape-2020-1

Carroll, who went public with her rape allegation against Trump last June, celebrated the development on Thursday, tweeting, "WE MOVE AHEAD!!"

The longtime advice columnist accused Trump of violently sexually assaulting her in a Manhattan Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the mid-1990s. She accused him of "lunging" at her, forcibly kissing her, and forcing his penis inside her.

Trump has aggressively denied the allegation and claimed never to have even met Carroll, though a photo shows the two chatting at a party a few years before the alleged assault. The president accused Carroll of using the story to sell her memoir and insulted her by saying she wasn't his "type."

Carroll's suit alleges that Trump hurt her reputation with tweets and other statements accusing her of lying and otherwise attacking her.

Trump lost a truly stupid jurisdiction argument and an argument that the precedent of Clinton v. Jones - that discovery can proceed in cases against Presidents while in office - somehow doesn't apply to him.

Without reading the opinion, it seems to me that both arguments were worthy of sanctions for baseless motions.

Trump will learn that discovery is really gonna suck.

https://lawandcrime.com/lawsuit/e-jean-carrolls-lawyers-say-trump-is-trying-to-delay-lawsuit-until-2020-election-passes/

In case you missed it two weeks ago, Trump responded to demands that he provide a DNA sample in Carroll’s defamation lawsuit by claiming that her requests were “burdensome.”

He then asked the court to delay the proceedings until he is able to fully litigate separate defamation claims brought by former The Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos. Carroll’s lawyers say that the Zervos case likely won’t be decided until after Nov. 2020 (i.e. after the election), explaining Trump’s attempt to delay the Carroll lawsuit through the Zervos case.

It would be too burdensome to provide DNA???..this has to have him screaming..oh dear...
