Waiting to start my first video doctors appointment

Tried it last week and the doc never showed. I finally called and he had me coming in person, so we rescheduled for this week. He’s not here again but at least there’s a pop up saying wait for the host. I don’t think this is zoom. I’ve been in zoom meetings lately that got zoom bombed.

Found a tick on my stomach yesterday afternoon after working in the yard. Got the tick body off, but not the head. Not delighted by this, but I have to go.

only it was on his umm...

There was a tiny tick mouthpieces left behind and his regular dr. wanted us to bring him in so he could dig it out.

Instead, we took him to a pediatric urgent care, and they looked at it and said it didn't require any intervention.

We maintain our own supply of doxycycline at home that we use prophylactically to prevent Lyme in case of tick bite.

At this point we wouldn't go in for something like that.

so I went ahead and had it done. I just got back and she dug the head out. No problem. And since I found it so quickly, she said I didn't need to worry about the Lyme disease prophylactics.

My BIL had a tick on his testicles last year. OUCH! He definitely had the doctor remove that one!

The doc at the urgent care said it would do more harm than good to try to remove it, and it worked its way out on its own. I think he would have been permanently traumatized if we'd gone the other way.

there's always a glitch. I was able to sign in at the appointed time. I'm no expert on this stuff. Well, they had connection troubles at their end, so I ended up talking to the ophthalmologist on call on a cellphone.

I hope it works out.

I have to go in for some blood and urine tests and he says he’s going to order an ultrasound too.

On time. No glitches. It works just fine.

Took my own vitals before the call.

Weight, temp, blood glucose, blood pressure, pulse. Agreed to go for regular blood panel when clinics are safer.

So he’s reducing my BP medicine. But I have to go in person to give blood and urine.
