I know its old news, but I was thinking: next time I have an argument with my wife, I will tell her to calm down. Lets see what happens.

Perhaps a vanity post like your OP would be best in Lounge instead of clogging GD, sinking others.nt

I will defend her if she "smacks you upside the head" (as they say in the South)

Either you're not paying attention or are just looking to demean people here. You can see by the responses that people knew what the OP was referring to. You are not the context police - unless I'm wrong and someone appointed you to that position. As I said before, your calling out others so often are "vanity posts" in themselves.

I'm going by the official DU description of the General Discussion group.
Discuss politics, issues, and current events.
The post was vanity: it was about his relationship with his wife. The poster even said it was "old news", hardly current.
I know its old news, but I was thinking: next time I have an argument with my wife, I will tell her to calm down. Lets see what happens.
Just giving feedback to the OP, which is why people post; no "police". The OP was better placed elsewhere. And I phrased it as a suggestion. No command. My opinion.
You are the only one commanding. You are the only one not paying attention.
I said NOTHING about context. Zero.
Try reading my post, for the first time. It's a useful skill.

She doesn't like being told to 'calm down'.
No one does...
