Kamala Harris' New Video Fuels Running Mate Speculation

From the article:

Senator Kamala Harris’ new video has led to speculation she’s auditioning for vice president. Joe Biden has said he will choose a woman as his running mate.
The California senator released the video on Twitter on Friday. This is usually a slow news day and perhaps an opportunity for Harris to garner attention she wouldn’t otherwise get during a busy news cycle.
“Right now we need a president that speaks truth, embraces science, and lifts people up,” Harris tweeted.

Biden is everything that Trump is not. And voters already do not trust Trump about the virus.

This clip should be broadcast everywhere. Mr. Bloomberg, are you listening?

...that took Joe and a lot of others by surprise, but being a smart politician, it wasn't anything either of them couldn't get over.

Both of them are politicians. Joe's been in DC for what? Over 40 years? He may look like kindly Uncle Joe, but he's got a core of steel and knows how this game is played. He'll make his own choices.

She's my Senator, btw. She also has a core of steel.

What appeal does she have in the swing states or the midwest in general? She comes across as competent but corporate and 'business as usual' and this is from a Biden voter. Her appeal among Black voters is extremely overplayed and I don't think she adds much to the ticket.

A Governor would be a good choice, as opposed to two blue state Senators.

There's buzz about Whitmer but I think Michigan needs her more than the Biden ticket does.

I saw a study showing Warren being a very popular choice with both Sanders supporters and Black voters, but she needs to stay in the Senate, especially with a Republican governor in Massachusetts.

I'm not sure what blue state governors would be good candidates...

But this year, it would be better it be a female, non-WASP, and someone who can help deliver some rust belt states.

Jay Inslee and Gavin Newsom have been better and would be better picks if we were going to have both white men.

but Harris and many other women are stronger picks anyways .

I just looked; the list is:

Laura Kelly - Kansas
Janet Mills - Maine
Gretchen Whitmer - Michigan
Michelle Lujan - New Mexico
Kate Brown - Oregon
Gina Raimondo - Rhode Island

Whitmer is probably the closest to your ideal as a rust-belt state governor.
