I predict that on election night this November, not even an hour after Mitt's concession speech, Free Republic and the other conservative boards will be saying the same things...
"We choose a candidate who was too liberal. We need to go further to the right."
"The moneyed interests took over the GOP. We need more populist Tea Party candidates."
"Next time, we need a REAL conservative, not a disguised RINO."
"Obama's thugs in ACORN rigged the vote again!"
"Americans are stupid. That's the only possible explanation."
"America is doomed. Welcome to the new Soviet Union, comrades."
After I am done with election judging, I will pour a glass of wine, read these comments and smile.

People are fed up with all of the obstruction. Maybe they'll vote to let the president have at it and get things done. 2010 blew up in their faces rather spectacularly. This is their chance to undo that.

These saps keep deluding themselves that if conservative ideals are presented to the world honestly, we will lap it up like maple syrup. The trouble is, I haven't seen a real conservative in a loooooong time. Now it's all about moving money to the top tier, controlling women, putting boots on the throats of the poor, and never-ending war. That's not conservatism, that's lunacy.
