(9,998 posts)Day after day, he stands up there and insults them. Different ones each day. I watch video and the media just sit there and say nothing. They don't fight back, and tell him that he's a Fucking Moron for suggesting disinfectants & bleach to prevent the Virus.
They're all basically looking out for themselves. They just want the privilege of being in the room with him, and being able to cover the news conferences. Just once.....ONCE.....I'd like to see one of them get in a vicious battle with him, rather than sitting back and letting him attack, attack, attack. He gets off on it every time.

(36 posts)and find it beyond painful to watch the press take his insults. I totally understand that they must stay professional in their behavior but they could simply watch how Pelosi trolls him without appearing to do so! I think of her sarcastic applause for him as an example. If Cheeto insulted me in the press room, I would give him the biggest shit-eating grin I could muster or pre-arrange for a colleague to silently (but visibly) giggle or laugh while seeming to communicate with them. He would think he was being laughed at in public and his head would explode!

(12,591 posts)He loves the thumb's up gesture when it's him doing it. He even did it with the doctors and nurses who treated the victims of the Las Vegas shooting. Giving him the same treatment would be like flipping the bird. "Gotcha!" is how he'll interpret it.

(13,571 posts)And THAT was a huge mistake, allowing a corrupt president to politicize the dissemination of news and plant stooges and shills at will.
Reporters covering Congress have access codified in Senate rules.
WH reporters have no such protections.
WHCA needs to flex muscle at every opportunity.

Fox News Receives Front-Row Seat in White House Briefing Room
The White House Correspondents Association on Sunday announced that Fox News will get a coveted front-row seat in the White House briefing room.
The Associated Press will take Helen Thomas' old seat, while Fox News will now occupy AP's former seat. NPR and Bloomberg also applied for the position.
"It was a very difficult decision," the White House Correspondents' Association said in a statement. "The board received requests from Bloomberg and NPR in addition to Fox for relocation to the front row and felt all three made compelling cases. But the board ultimately was persuaded by Fox's length of service and commitment to the White House television pool."
Fox News' vice president of news and Washington managing editor Bill Sammon said in a statement: "We are pleased with the decision of the White House Correspondents Association and look forward to working with our colleagues in the front row and the rest of the James S. Brady briefing room."
Thomas, who worked most recently as a columnist for Hearst Corporation, abruptly resigned her seat in early June following an uproar over comments she made about Jews in Israel. She was filmed saying Jews should get the hell out of Palestine and suggested they go instead to Germany, Poland and the United States. Thomas apologized and later resigned.
Thomas had covered every president since Dwight Eisenhower. She is approaching her 90th birthday.
Fox News White House Correspondent Major Garrett previously sat directly behind Thomas in the second row. Other news outlets represented in the front row are: NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, Reuters and the Associated Press.
Fox News, which is a propaganda organization, was moved to the first row when a seat opened up. Now, the Trump organization apparently wants to move CNN to the last row because Trump is little baby that cannot handle criticism.
