"SNIP.....
The Atlantic: Bidens campaign confirmed that he called Abrams, but didnt say more. According to several people familiar with the campaigns running-mate selection process, Abrams is not currently a likely choice.
.....SNIP"

(5,008 posts)right now. However, I dont see her as a good fit as his running mate..HOWEVER, she could be a very good fit for his administration. I think she is a future star in our party.

(31,261 posts)I really believe that in 2022, she can rather easily defeat Kemp in a rematch.
I tend to agree, of the potential VP choices, she is the weakest. I think that Val Demming is starting to emerge as a strong possibility.

(10,279 posts)his candidates. These types of stories are not helpful. It has to injure Abrams morale.

(31,261 posts)The last thing we need is a rushed selection process that misses red flags a candidate may have. Biden is doing it right.

(5,324 posts)She is in no way, shape, or from qualified to become president. She's a bright up and coming star but a place on the top ticket is way over her pay grade at this time.

(10,885 posts)Personally, I'd love to see Biden/Harris.
(Obviously, I'd have to be on board if Abrams were selected.)

(3,974 posts)and wont help flip any swing states. Her history as a prosecutor wont help attract progressive voters to the ticket. There are better choices, maybe not Abrams, who could do both plus help energize the African American vote and didnt accuse Biden of being a racist on national television.

(10,885 posts)Just as I'd vote for Biden/Abrams.
Sometimes we have to make compromises.

(3,974 posts)Just dont think Harris is the best choice to help win in November.

(10,885 posts)That's how I feel about Abrams, but we're all entitled to an opinion.
It's really up to Joe anyway, and I trust his opinion.
Dem4Life1102
(3,974 posts)She may help energize the African American vote but is unlikely to flip Georgia.

(3,974 posts)Never has. Plus experience arguments only benefit incumbents.

(1,257 posts)Her communication skills are outstanding. Which would be a great help to Biden. But I which she was running for a senate seat.

(33,377 posts)Leading the minority in a state house is not equivalent.
You're going to see this go to someone with DC experience and a national profile.

(31,261 posts)There are better female POC choices. I see where his heart is, but I think that Joe painted himself into a corner by saying his only choice for a VP would be a female, he should have left that more open, THOUGH, there are a lot more strong female choices than male ones.
