Even if that were true, "which we all know it's not "
Is that somehow supposed to make it any better?
50,000 Americans are dead; and he's performing a stand up comedy act for the cameras?

(22,157 posts)or he was being sarcastic. I want a reporter to ask him if he finds 50,000+ deaths something to joke about. Someone needs to make sure he doesnt appear at these briefings starting today.

(11,885 posts)Proves he isn't a genius, or stable, and craves attention as another deranged cult leader trying to con his followers into believing his daily propaganda, and has now evolved into suggesting consuming, or injecting toxic chemicals that will kill people as a cure. Time for the 25th. Or remove all the gop with him for not removing this dangerous lunatic.

(11,742 posts)Trump said that it was a question and a suggestion and indicated that he was not a doctor, but was intelligent, which was why he was asking the question.
He said, "maybe it will work, maybe it won't" which is usually what he says when confronted with an obviously stupid sentence that he wants to distance himself from. If he was being sarcastic, why did he not indicate that during the briefing which continued after those statements.
And, you are right. Either way, he said something incredibly stupid and inappropriate. He needs to apologize either way. If he was serious, then he needs to apologize for putting stupid and dangerous information out there. If he was being sarcastic, then he needs to apologize for not treating the pandemic with the seriousness needed by the national leader.
He won't apologize. He can't. He should however, be confronted and told he needs to do so.
