that there are such a lot of good people out there trying to deal with this thing and helping so many others. It's such a welcome change from the relentless awfulness and insanity of Trump and his incompetent sycophants. It's hard to be optimistic when all you see is Trump's chaos but we have to remember that there are more of us. I have to believe that good beats evil eventually.

(28,811 posts)i'm watching on Amazon Prime and I don't think I'll be able to watch the other show they keep talking about. Plus i came in a little late and started from the beginning and then my computer crashed for awhile.
Oh yeah, and this song by Charlie Puth made me cry and I'm watching it over after looking it up to be sure i knew what it was about and who was singing.

(13,225 posts)gratitude for healthcare workers, for the researchers working on vaccines and treatment protocols, for all the people on the front lines working to keep people supplied with food, for teachers trying to engage and comfort their students, for the great work the World Health Organization has done around the world to alleviate suffering.
And no one said HIS name. There was not a single indirect reference to HIM.
It was a much needed balm for our aching hearts. Michelle Obama ans Laura Bush brought tears to my eyes because they spoke with a compassion that has been completely lacking in the current executive branch.
