Edited to add, deliberately blocking traffic is not a legal form of protest, even in normal times.
I hope every single city that sees this activity sends law enforcement out and/or passes ordinances with fines for obstructing traffic, which I expect is already a citation in most jurisdictions.
Original post below:
I hope local law enforcement is preparing for these, found via Facebook posts.
Check your Nextdoor and other sources, notify police if you care to.
In my county, these people could be cited for being out without justification against a public order to shelter in place.

(11,045 posts)Historically, an armed insurrection would be treated with extreme prejudice.

(95,247 posts)If the arms are not laid down, there really is no other proper choice. The very definition of a state includes the sole right to employ force for political aims within its jurisdiction.
These shit-heels can fly all the nazi and confederate flags they wish, but carrying arms crosses a line everyone knows is there. I have on several occasions displayed a weapon, and never have done so without intent of conveying dire threat without having to speak a word. These people know exactly what they are doing when they bear arms.
An armed crowd is not a peaceable assembly. The Constitutional text is quite clear, specifying "the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

(17,536 posts)get what they get. It will be interesting to see if anyone openly carries in Florida where it is against the law. Of course DeSatinist will probably be marching with the other Nazis.

(95,247 posts)Police have the authority to order its dispersal, and enforce same if not obeyed.
These people need to be put to the test of making the choice --- do I shoot at an officer of the law, or obey lawful order to disperse?

(17,536 posts)Armed crowds are not illegal in many states. Do you want to make folk heroes out of these guys by arresting them or illegally baiting them into a gun fight?
The legislators of these states decided that it would be unconstitutional to deny the people the right to walk around armed. They did it because the people of the states demanded it. The Supreme court has not checked them on it. The law is the law, we can't pick and choose which ones we like to see enforced. Our options are to replace the lawmakers.
Arrest them when they break the law, be patient, they will give you the chance.

Under our peculiar structures, states remain sovereign governments, subordinated to the Federal authority as regards foreign policy and issuance of currency, and certain Federal laws and regulations apply within their borders. There is no authority whatever under which a resident of the White House can make lawful an insurrection against the authority of a state's governor, even if he calls openly on people to undertake the action.

(33,643 posts)I'd imagine they'd argue that it's done so as to avoid getting arrested for gathering/not social distancing.
But in reality it's cause they're SCARED to do so, even as they protest the very rules preventing them from doing so.
Right-Wingers are a bunch of phonies and liars. Just like their man-child hero soiling our WH.

(50,949 posts)defy the isolation rules, all you have to do is sign a form that says that if you get the virus, you will "tough it out" at home like the real man you are. And if you pass it to your innocent family members, you won't bring them to the hospital either. Once that's signed, you are free to go about your business as you wish."

(1,521 posts)While the Trump liberation tweets are truly alarming and break completely new ground in terms of Executive malfeasance please note the tininess of these radical fascist nihilist "crowds".
Seems like this much ado about nothing.
If these fools did cross over into armed insurrection there are so few of them that any rebellion would be over almost instantly.
Trump's only hope now is to short circuit the election. He knows he can't win. Not enough of the crazies.
He has committed a very clear impeachable offense which is clearly covered under the Constitution. If the election happens he loses.
He's panicked and thrashing.
But he's occupying the presidency and his actions and words are going to be used to inflame the crazies and give him an excuse to impose martial law.
Things are going to get very weird, very fast.

(17,536 posts)from the movie Back Draft The Mercedes was parked in front of the fire hydrant, so the firefighter knocked out the windows on both sides of the car and pulled the hose through the car to fight the fire? (it brought cheers from the audience I was in)
Someone blocking hospital access should warned to move, if they don't move instantly, they should simply be bulldozed out of the way. If the vehicle driver makes too much of a fuss, then they should be arrested for disturbing the peace. Then the city needs to fine them and charge them for the heavy equipment use and the tow of their wrecked vehicle.
