Lets start making our own stuff for each other. A regional Medical care for all. Maybe expand it from Maryland up to the great lakes. The west coast could do the same thing. Wonder how the red states would like living without blue state money?

(12,679 posts)First one province, and the rest followed suit once they saw how inexpensive and economical it was to cover everyone with at least "the basics". As time went on, they tweaked it so it covered more people and was as equitable as possible for nearly everyone. Oh, there may be individual problems, especially for those "better off" who don't understand the concept of commons, but there isn't the huge gaping cracks in health care we see in the US.
Incrementalism. That's how most countries do it.
