First, and foremost, why are they getting even a single penny more than $1200 a piece? Just like the pittance they gave the rest of us?
Second, why are they allowed to ignore the stay-at-home regs and recs, like the rest of us? And then go to Madison Avenue to make TV commercials so sweet about being "in this together" they can cause a diabetic attack?
Third, are they allowed to use their stimulus to pay for medical cannabis? Because, if so, they need to be forced to buy it for the rest of us who need it more than them.
In order to keep from boiling over, I will stop there for now.

(7,702 posts)Corporations have long been granted constitutional rights, including the rights of property and contract, the right to sue in federal court, protection against unreasonable searches and seizures, the right to equal protection and due process of law, the rights of association and speech, and virtually all of the rights exercised by criminal defendants (with the exception of the privilege against self-incrimination).

(1,204 posts)...and if corporations are considered to be people, then why do they have lower tax brackets than people do?
Why are they paying only 21% and yet individuals making over $500,000 paying 37%?

(35,320 posts)Consider unemployment. And if you're run your own business, you can apply. Most of them aren't corporations.
Note that the ACLU and Greenpeace are also considered persons. It's part of the reason they can do much of what they do.
Freedom of the press and of speech also applies only to persons. The NYT and other newspapers are corporations and are considered persons.
That's one.
2 is like 1. They also have to stay at home. How many corporations have you seen shut down? How many have you seen up and running? Now consider people--how many have jobs that are essential and go out. Or do things like get food.
