Good pick up.

When you notice something wrong in the from field that is the key.

There was no .com or .org in the address. The space - was also a clue, major companies have americanexpress, chasebank, etc. Scammers try to get something close to confuse users.

American - Express @ eaxo 01

Finally, I HATE THESE PEOPLE!!!

Do not trust any emails that you get about important accounts and don't even open them.

Some people get hundreds of phone spam and phising emails that appear to be valid contacts from companies and banks.

If you think an email MIGHT be from a bona fide account, look their email address up at their official site and email them or call.

We take phishing scams very seriously and appreciate your help in letting us know about suspicious emails you may receive.

If you think you've received a phishing email, don't click on any links. Please forward it to spoof@americanexpress.com and we'll act to close down the phishing link. Once you've forwarded the email, we recommend that you delete it from your inbox."

From my cardholder security web page:

Report a Suspicious Email

Report a suspicious email by sending it to the following address:

spoof@americanexpress.com

Every little bit helps toward stopping this criminal shit.
