'Crime against humanity': Trump condemned for WHO funding freeze

Leading health experts have labelled Donald Trump’s decision to cut funding to the World Health Organization (WHO) as a “crime against humanity” and a “damnable” act that will cost lives.

The move also drew a rebuke from the head of the United Nations, who said the WHO was “absolutely critical to the world’s efforts to win the war against Covid-19”.

Late on Tuesday Trump declared US funding would be put on hold for 60-90 days pending a review “to assess the World Health Organization’s role in severely mismanaging and covering up the spread of the coronavirus”. The US is the single largest contributor to the WHO.

Richard Horton, the editor-in-chief of the Lancet medical journal, wrote that Trump’s decision was “a crime against humanity … Every scientist, every health worker, every citizen must resist and rebel against this appalling betrayal of global solidarity.”

So desperate is he to point the finger elsewhere during his complete and utter failure to get a grip on this crisis he is willing to pull funding from the one organisation who is leading the global response. He is literally adding to the death toll because he cannot bear to admit even to himself that he has fucked up really badly over this. Of course as the WHO is a literal lifeline to the Southern Poor nations, he would not be worried about those deaths. Hell it seems he is not that worried about American deaths. He is horror.

To see trump and all of his family involved in crimes against this county go to prison. If Biden refuses to go after them he should be ousted to , because if something this horrific happens with little or no consequences, next time it'll be a lot worse. I also think all the trumps will be sued in such huge numbers they'll lose everything from it. trump knew all along what was coming, and intentionally did nothing causing many more to die. He just cared only about his image and re-election over the health and welfare of the American people. Now he and the gop want to starve us to death too as we see daily food shortages pile up . We've heading towards putins russia, and trump and the gop are taking us there now.

How can he not understand that you shouldn’t be cutting WHO funding in the middle of a pandemic?

A global embarrassment.

Hopefully someone like Bill Gates can pick up the slack. Or perhaps states like New York and California.

The WHO did tell Trump early on about the C-19 pandemic and he blew them off and
he refused to use their C-19 test kits. Those kits have worked very well in every other
country that have used them. See S. Korea & New Zealand.

And why did Trump refuse the WHO's test kits? So he could "wet his beak" and sell
his own model to the US Government.

Trump is the biggest fuck up in history. He should lose every state this fall.

Now why would we need the World Health Organization during a global health crises?
