1. Happy Easter, feels really strange that today is really Easter Sunday

2. Happy Easter to you and to all.

Woke up with memories dating decades back, my folks waking me, telling me Easter Bunny might have come in the night, to go look around. Me, watching my kids cry out in glee at each egg and basket discovered behind the couch or recliner. Sitting on the beach in the dark awaiting sunrise at community non denominational Easter Morning service.

So different this year. Parents gone, husband gone, kids and grandkids in their homes, me alone in apartment thawing out piece of ham from freezer for dinner.

But I am so much luckier than most because my phone was filled with messages and calls, my freezer stocked by family who won’t let me shop, my cup runneth over.

My Easter prayer today is for those who are sick, who are scared, who are alone: and those who are caring for them. May their baskets be full to the brim the rest of the year with health and hope and happiness.
