Chuck Todd is both-sider-ing again! GRRRR!!!!
He is describing the fight in the Senate over the next financial support bill as if both sides were engaged in petty squabbling. Wistfully recalls the post - 9/11 days when the parties worked together.
This is IRRESPONSIBLE "journalism" or commentary, Chuck. If you do not know any better than this, you should not be in a position to explain what is going on to the American public.
What do I mean by "any better"? Well, Chuck, have you heard the news that Trump and his toadies plan to ignore the safeguards in the law to prevent him from mis-spending the previously allocated funds? Did you not know that he removed the inspector general intended to oversee spending (along with several other inspectors general whose only crime was DOING THEIR JOB and reporting Trump's bad behavior)? etc. etc.
The Democrats MUST not allow more $, which vastly increase an already outrageous public debt and so must be paid for by us taxpayers later, to be given to this criminal administration with no accountability. Their attempts to ensure that the people who should receive support actually receive it, while the Republicans try to funnel tax money to their cronies, ARE NOT EQUIVALENT.
It is YOUR responsibility, Chuck, to tell Americans the truth about what is happening.
