Pence: We’re going to have millions of tests very soon.

America: Where are the tests?

Pence: Welp. Time to pack it in. Another job well done.

The federal government will end funding for coronavirus testing sites on Friday. While some sites will transition to being state-managed, others will close as a result. This as criticism continues that not enough testing is available.

I think what's going to end up happening is that a company like Amazon (or Walgreen/Walmart/Google) is going to get into the "overnight testing" business, where you or I can order, say, three coronavirus tests, submit a sample, use their handy, easy return shipping option, and obtain the results online in two days or so. (Like a faster version of 23 and Me DNA testing).

Another possibility might be a do it yourself home kit, where you can actually perform it right at home and get the results in a matter of minutes (my preference). They won't be perfect, so I would probably order three and see if they all agreed. I don't know when that's coming, but it's the best solution I can think of.

Because of economies of scale and demand, I think it will be relatively inexpensive.

She said I miss you Titi - get in the car and drive to my house. My heart melted. My family is in GA and I am in FL. I am working from home till the end of the month. I really wish I could spend the rest of the month with them. Unfortunately, I am terrified I would transmit the virus to them. My niece has asthma and my parents both have other underlying health conditions.
So I may not be seeing them for awhile if I don't know what my status is.
This administration has failed on so many levels.

There are plenty of people in both low income urban areas and in rural areas who don't have access to anything like Facetime and they are totally cut off. Or they will flaunt stay at home orders and put themselves and others at risk.

And stiffs them like he's done to contractors, and now to the American people. Everyone including his supporters need to know he'll do anything he's doing or has done to others he'll do to them too. This is getting much worse every day he remains in office. Are people starting to realize when others called him the greatest national security risk this country's ever had now, they were right?

even if there are tests I would be terrified to bring the plague to them...masks, gloves, protective gear...traveling on an airplane sitting 6 feet away from someone infected but doesn't know he/she is infected...walking thru an airport..is it on me/am I bring it to them? getting into my daughter's car...did I bring it with me? do I throw my clothes away, do I disinfect hands face hair before I can hug my children and grandchildren?... I don't want them to come to me because they might contract it and not know it..I'm 71 years old..this isn't about me...it's about the family I love...I have to stay away to keep them safe...the sadness is overwhelming

They should be SHOUTING, "Where ARE THE TESTS!". "WHY ARE YOU STOPPING FUNDING?"

They should also be shouting "LIAR", when he tells a lie.

Their silence is complicity.

I am so disgusted with the rallies, I can only watch a few minutes of it. Even then it make me want to

At least I get to see my grandchildren (we meet in my daughter's back yard and practice social distancing) but not hugging and kissing them is driving me (and them) mad as well. I've seen them twice since this whole thing started, and we used to see each other 2-3 times a week, not to mention overnights etc. We're a very huggy, kissy type of family, and to just look at each other from 10 feet away goes contrary to everything we've ever known.

I try to tell myself that everyone else is going through the same thing, but that's little consolation. Is there any chance you can see them, but practice social distancing while doing so? Just to see them is at least something. Best of luck to you in these miserable times, but at least you and your family have their health (virus-wise, anyway).

One of my daughters and her husband called saying they wanted to drive the 70 plus miles to visit on Easter. I had to tell them if they did, I could not let them come into the house. He is an Uber driver and although he is not allowing people in his car, he is delivering food to people. I am in my 70's, have 7 stents in my body, high BP, and am a former smoker. I cannot take any chances. PERIOD. I lost all faith in the federal government even before this virus hit. This just adds more reasons to the distrust.

If you get the rapid test, the false negatives are extremely high. So, you are not safe.
