Is it possible for Trump and Mnuchin to steal from US Treasury and not be accountable?

After all, Mnuchin is the Secretary of the Treasury.

Trump was asked who would oversee the funds in the bailout recently passed by Congress and he said he would be the oversight.

If someone is criminally inclined, which I think both Trump and Mnuchin are, what is to prevent them from using those funds for their own personal goals and ambitions and debts?

What is to keep Trump from putting funds into any of the 500+ shell companies that he is involved with? He has always defined "legal" as anything he could get away with.

What is to prevent him from giving money to Deutsche Bank to pay off all his loans?

There are a lot of questions that come up with this $2.2 trillion dollar bailout of our economy passed by our Congress.

Will they now be able to follow the money that they have legislated for specific purposes?

Guarantee, when all of the $2.2 trillion is gone and there's no recourse, we're going to be hearing about all of the fraud that took place. Supposedly, Mnuchin is going to be able to waive things at his discretion. You can count on a lot of waivers to be granted, based on how they're connected to Trump.

We're talking about TRILLIONS of $ here. It wouldn't be hard for a million here or a billion there to go undetected of being handed out.

paper trail? What about his hotels? Golf courses?

The method I can visualize is giving a chunk to his contributors with the belief (understanding) they will turn around and donate it to the campaign fund...aka, family bank account. With his history, there is no way he isn't salivating all over the floor at the money he can glom onto. I'm sure he's already figured it out and, it is becoming obvious that the Democrats in the House and Senate have the same fear.

Add to that the stories about piracy. Who are the pirates? Someone has to have inside information on shipments so they can seize the shipments with authority. It seems damned funny to me that Trump flouts all the masks, PPE, test kits and equipment at his pressers that have been shipped to hospitals, yet the hospitals say the items are not showing up. How long have they been pirating? Who is getting the money? How? The treasury department isn't that porous, is it?

Now, it sounds like he's stocked up on malaria meds. How many million has he purchased because he believes there will be a demand?
