There really cant be any more doubt.
Hes fooled millions of them.
They flock to his every word, filled with deceit, and anger, and greed, and everything evil and bad. Yet his daily rants dont push people away- there are still the same number, or more, who buy his snake oil.
I dont get it.
Except to understand that he is, indeed, the Anti-Christ. And he is stealing tens of thousands of souls as I speak.

(38,187 posts)I was kind of hoping the Anti-Christ would be charismatic or at least decent looking. I'm not sure he is the Anti-Christ. I think America just has a lot of gullible, willfully ignorant people who love to hate the rest of us and he gives them license to be as horrible as they want to be to us. I would think the Anti-Christ would at least be charismatic.
This fucker could be the product of an incestuous brother-sister affair easily. He has no good looks, no charisma, shit for a personality, shit for brains, is uninterested in anything remotely related to learning in order to do the job of president. He has no curiosity. He has no interest in anything productive. He is a typical spoiled rotten rich boy who has had everything handed to him on a silver platter. Everything he touches, including gold, turns to shit.
Maybe he is a failed experiment where they tried to clone George W. Bush, or breed him back to Barbara Bush, only something went wrong he came out dumber and uglier. But, no, he is older than W., right?
Then again, maybe he IS the Anti-Christ. He defies explanation. How can a person that self-centered survive this long without someone punching him right in the mouth at some point? How can anyone stand to be around him?
"How can anyone stand him even on TV?" is the question I ask every day when I see people talking about him getting ready to talk on TV? Then, I remember back when Clinton was president and his terms were up. It was hard for me to break the habit of watching the daily briefing thingies. It was too depressing until I realized there would never be a reward feeling for watching again as long as Dubya was president. I was never going to see Mike McCurry or DeeDee Myers again. It was going to be that horrid woman bush had, then Ari Fleischer. That eventually broke the habit for me, because I would rather do dishes than watch any of Bush's horrid people. I hate doing dishes. I started back watching when Obama was in. When Obama's terms were over, it was a little easier for me to quit watching the daily briefing things on TV again because I knew, it's not going to be good any more. It was going to be Trump now and all of his sycophants. I find myself re-washing dishes sometimes. Even though it makes my back hurt, I would still rather do that than hear Trump or any of his deranged moronic followers speak.
If Trump really is the Anti-Christ, then I'm disappointed. I think he is more of a failed science experiment, but at the same time, I wonder how he has made it through life without someone hauling off and finally smacking him right in the mouth to shut him the fuck up. He's such a blowhard. How can people stand to be around him?
Ok, you win. He's gotta be the Anti-Christ, because how else would he have made it this long without someone knocking some sense into him or just kicking his ass for being such a blowhard? As insufferable as he is, that someone has not just hauled off and knocked the ever loving shit out of him to shut him the fuck up is either a full blown miracle or he really is the Anti-Christ. I don't believe in miracles.

However, there were many people who thought Hitler was the anti-Christ. He did horrible damage, but in the end he died, just like anyone else.

(10,190 posts)Trump was elected precisely because he reflects a strong strain of depravity that has always been part of America. We should be asking why there are so many people like Trump.

I never tire of pointing out that Donald Trump shares the following with Damien Thorn:
1. Initials and letter count in first and last names;
2. Doesn't want you messing with his hair as if it's hiding something;
3. 666 (Fifth Avenue);
4. Born of a jackal.
And this bonus item from The Book of Revelations:
5. Everyone will bear the Mark of the Beast upon their heads and pledge loyalty to him if they wish to trade.
Damien was also a slimy, cartoonishly evil little shit--even when played by Sam Neill--but still maintained a hypnotic hold on the weak-minded, and was backed and protected by an international conspiracy of evil people inexplicably bent on perpetrating their own destruction and damnation. In addition, Sam Neill's Damien kept a life-size "backwards" statue of Christ on the cross that he liked to dry-hump much the same way that Donny Littlehands likes to dry-hump the American flag.

(722 posts)displaying pretty much all the prejudices, hatreds, and behaviors that they claim their God hates about the rest of us.
The part that really gets me is that, while doing all of this, they repeatedly proclaim that their God is "love" -- but only by a single, incredibly narrow definition that just coincidentally happens to endorse, enable, excuse, and align with all their prejudices, hatreds, and behaviors.
Just imagine for 2 seconds that the historical figure of Jesus Christ one day randomly knocked on these people's doors and wanted to know why they were ignoring his teachings and bearing false witness about issues in which they proclaimed themselves experts.
What the hell is their excuse going to be?
This is the information age.
There's simply no longer any excuse for believing blatant, obvious lies you could easily disprove in 60 seconds using the internet if you wanted to and if you cared about facts and truth.
There's no longer any excuse for prejudicial hatreds that you could easily identify as irrational, ignorant, and evil, if you wanted to and if you wanted to even attempt to live up to the teachings of the religion you selfishly and hypocritically wield as a weapon to insulate yourself from introspection and change.
Almost every Christian I've ever met in my life (and there have been thousands) believed themselves to personally know God, to personally know Jesus Christ, and to personally understand Love.
But I've rarely ever met two Christians who could agree about any of those things.

(20,018 posts)Religious faith is a matter of looking at the evidence, denying it, and sticking to a story that you've been told.
Their greatest ambition in life is to BELIEVE the lies.
They think it will save them.
There's no fixing this. Religion will always be wrong. And will always insist that it's right.

(43,049 posts)Hitler, Stalin, Mohammed, Ho Chi Min, Andrew Jackson... Many fit the description better than the orange turd. But none have properly fulfilled the prophecies and brought about the destruction called for.
I forget the philosophical term for it all, but I tend toward the more Oriental idea that opposites are necessary. There can be no good without evil, so we were shown the Devil early in Genesis, just to make sure we knew there were sides, and which side to take.
And I'm not so sure that all the destruction called for in Revelation isn't propaganda so that the dimmer disciples have an easier choice.
It's all myth though, so it's fun to talk about. And gives us a reason to read Milton.
