Feds loosen coronavirus rules to let essential workers return to work

Here's the thing: We know infected people are asymptomatic while shedding virus & NEJM says ONLY 43.8% patients present with fever until the disease progresses * patients' health deteriorates!

Trump administration has issued new guidelines to make it easier for essential workers who have been exposed to COVID-19 get back to work — if they have no symptoms.

Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, announced at the White House that essential employees, such as health care and food supply workers, who have been within 6 feet of a confirmed or suspected case of the virus can return to work under certain circumstances if they are not experiencing symptoms.

Under the new guidelines for essential workers, the CDC recommends that exposed employees take their temperatures before their shifts, wear face masks and practice social distancing at work. They also are advised to stay home if they are ill, not share headsets or other objects used near the face and refrain from congregating in crowded break rooms.

Employers are asked to take exposed workers’ temperatures and assess symptoms before allowing them to return to work, aggressively clean work surfaces, send workers home if they get sick and increase air exchange in workplaces.

Where the HELL are they going to get all those face masks! NURSES AND DOCTORS don't have enough because the Feds are blocking those bought by states and taking possession of them. They are stealing from the states that bought them.

I am so angry.

This is really dangerous. Not everyone has a fever when they are infectious.

& that gives companies something to point to when they make shitty decisions.

Also, gives fed "reasons" to withhold funding / aid to Dem controlled states if they don't comply with guidelines.

Pay them well, though. And government needs to keep its promise to pay health costs if infected.

Just got back to work this Monday and I know most in there smoke something cigs or vapes (nicotine and medical marijuana grade vapes) But never in my life have I heard so much coughing going on. The owner is greedy as hell and a staunch Trump supporter.
This shit makes me very nervous, but I just started a year ago and making waves at this time would be financial suicide if I make a complaint.
