Wisconsin

Yesterday in Wisconsin could well be a preview of the November election. (Strange how only Republican state judges and supreme court justices wouldn't allow more time for mail ins.) The Republicans are ramping up to steal the upcoming election (again) and they may even be able to steal back the house.

I can't help but think that at some point, the majority of voters in this country, (Democrats), are being pushed toward a 2nd Civil War. Actually, it's going on right now as a cold war. But I believe it could heat up very quickly. The original Civil War had geographic boundaries, but were a second one to break out, it would be neighbor vs neighbor. And it would destroy us all.

We know that all responsibility for this situation lies with the Republicans, but that won't matter much if an apocalypse were to take place.

I often post about Republicans and "Dear Leader," but I hadn't really reached the point where I'm at right now. I hope I'm wrong about some hypothetical civil war, but it seems to me that the only alternative is a GOP dictatorship.

Sorry to sound so depressing about this. But, again, look at what happened yesterday in Wisconsin. Are we just supposed to "hope" this doesn't happen again in November? Beats me.

if enough voters show up, you can win. We have to over-perform which is what happened in 18 and allowed us to win back the House.

a few GOP types or independents were not thrilled to have to go out and vote in the middle of a pandemic too. This could help us. The key is to over perform as we did in Virginia for example and in other gerrymandered states which allowed us to take back the House.

I never wanted to do it, because of issues such as some moron deciding if my signature matches to whatever they have on file.
But it might be what I have to do now.
I will see if I will be able to vote in a primary through mail in ballot.

That's why Barr wanted it on paper that he could arrest anyone for any or no reason other than suspicion and keep them jailed indefinitely during a time of national crisis. The fucker actually submitted that to McConnell, who to his surprising credit, refused to even submit the bill to Congress and who said zero about it because he knows this is a pure giveaway of their plans.

I don't say it in every post but the only way we can possibly beat them in Nov (with their 500 BILLION slush fund) is to absolutely overwhelm the forecasts and have a blue tsunami. That is why he is trying to stop us from voting because if we do, we have a chance and he can't stand that because he knows he's going to lose everything and go to jail if he doesn't steal the Wh again.

live in a red state? Well, I called swing states when I lived in Georgia. We can beat them...and saying that we have no chance and it will be civil war does not encourage people to vote but to give up. And we don't want that. Trump and his minions in Wisconsin tried to stop the vote yesterday and failed. I have no doubt there will be a blue tsunami in November. I am so proud of our side because we showed up in dire circumstances. It bodes well for November.

I worked regularly in 2018 and we actually swung this county blue for the first time in decades - yay. 2019 was a year of near death, and a lot of disability. I am mostly recovered, but now this is in effect so stuck at home. I plan on volunteering full time starting in Aug. if all goes well.

GOTV is the thing that matters and our only hope. I think the people of America are motivated.

If we show up, they will lose. Of course what they did was wrong...but we can and will beat them. I will vote in Ohio in person with not even a little bit of fear. I will take precautions and would crawl across broken glass to beat the orange mass murderer. The doom and gloom posts discourage voters and why would we wish to do that?

"But crowds swarmed to the polls, with some voters saying they had no other choice if they wanted to vote." Sometimes we have to show up and risk our lives to vote...ask John Lewis about his experience.

The repigs in the legislature and the repig state courts...the attempt to lower turnout failed miserably. People stood in line risking their lives so they could vote (shouldn't have of course but it is what it is). Voters showed up and that is why we will have an election and not a civil war; It is not going to happen. We will vote in November and oust Trump. The sooner we turn to the General the better so I am hoping that Sanders drops out and uses his considerable influence to help oust Trump. But no matter what, we will defeat the orange mass murderer squatting in the People's House.
