Did you guys just hear the exchange between Joy Reid and veteran ABC journalist Carole Simpson?

They were talking about NY's governor, Andrew Cuomo, after today's edition of the Cuomo morning briefing ended. I'll just quote here.

Carole Simpson - "I wish he were President."

Joy Reid - "Isn't he? Kind of?"

BOOM!

That's gonna hurt. trump will be rage-tweeting about that for months.

She pointed out what an utter waste of time they are, and how badly he's cowing the press. I hope MSNBC will post the whole segment. She did not mince her words.

publicly praises Cuomo because I know the Trump eogo will retaliate by withholding any cooperation that Cuomo needs.

Should not be that way, but it is.

All credit where credit is due, of course. But it might be wise to bring the pedestal down a few feet .. and ease up on the adulation. We need to remember that comparing any functional leadership .. to the keystone cops .. is setting the bar pretty low!

(remember Giuliani? .. what a great man .. superlative leader ..)

Cuomo is as brilliant as his father and he is balancing on a very fine tightrope with trump.!!

So I wish people would NOT compare them. It will just piss of trump even more and we here in NY will have it even worse than we do now.

It was good for ratings. I don't even think Trump expected the coverage/attention he was going to get but to his credit he know how use it as an advantage. National tv press were the middleman.

Cuomo is not perfect by a long shot, but he's stepped up to the plate and is doing what is necessary. And yeah, we all DO wish it was Cuomo in the White House and not the corrupt, incompetent thing that IS in there.

"You can’t fight a Reality TV Presidency with an argument, you have to fight it with another reality show, a newer and better one.

"Governor Cuomo seems to have figured this out. If he’s loud you’re soft, if he is vicious, you are gentle, if he is lying or stretching the truth, you are being painfully honest, if he can’t really show empathy, you are empathizing all the time, even in tears at times."
