Trump is demonstrating pure cowardice.

Instead of stepping up and organizing a national response to the Coronavirus he steps back to let others try to figure things out without a unifying leader.

He will never be a leader because he's terrified of taking responsibility except after the fact for successes.

This is cowardice on a grand scale.
He will let thousands of Americans needlessly die because he is too much of a coward to take command.

He has NEVER payed dearly for anything ever as far as what I know about him. He has the skills to be like teflon and to put on a convincing show that most people buy, one way or another.

WE will pay dearly for whatever he does. He never will, in my opinion.

So, it is WE whom we should be most concerned with now.

If you have any examples that indicate DJT paying for something dearly, (including his contractors, help, etc.) let me know. It would be a first if he did. This parasite sucks the marrow out and walks away fat and happy, just like he is doing to this country.

It is deliberate. Again, the show reveals something that could be interpreted the wrong way and that's what he excels at.

I suggest suspending judgements like those when you are observing a reality TV show host in action and a confidence man in power.

So, that's just my take so far and it should be coming into better focus as this crises unfolds. The game is afoot!

I am taking things in my own hands. Extreme social distancing, washing hands often, I don't even go inside grocery stores. I order groceries on line and Publix brings it to my parked car outside the store. I am scared because my wife can not avoid visits to hospital for cancer treatments every 3 weeks where she is exposed to other patients and nurses and doctor. Other than that I am going to be totally isolated for as long as it takes.

It can not jump much more than 6 feet between human hosts. The virus can live on metal and non-metal for many hours but then unless picked up by a human host, it dies. So yeah, the virus is extremely contagious, but we must exploit it's only known weakness, which is social distancing. If we as Americans fail in that, the virus will keep destroying lives, infecting unsuspecting people from others who may not even show any symptoms. I heard the testing data is showing that of those testing positive, almost half had no symptoms at all, but still can pass on the infection.

Not quite right. Make them die. This is the 2020 version of shooting someone on Fifth Avenue and getting away with it. His actions have killed 8000 Americans, so far, and he’s getting away with it. What a power trip for him. He must think he’s a god.

supremacist genocide. Let the old and the sick die. Never mind that the 35 year old person with asthma is a talented software engineer. Or the 75 year old retiree with MS leads a volunteer group of tutors for young people.

If they cannot get through a pandemic with just a mild case, they are "inferior" and deserve to die. Cheaper and easier than rounding them up for fatal injections. Just get rid of them by spreading the virus and refusing needed help.

We're finding out which leaders can handle a situation such as this, and which ones can't. Some of those I've been impressed with have been obviously Governor Cuomo from New York and Governor Pritzker of Illinois to name a few. On the other hand, Trump, DeSantis, Reynolds from Iowa are some that haven't a clue on what to do about this.

But if things go badly, he'll blame everyone else of his own failures, missteps, and errors. See the way he's blaming Gov. Cuomo already, as well as the states that took the first hit. I'm not sure what his deflection strategy will be when Florida, Texas, Alabama, and the rest of the Republican-dominated states hit the front lines. He'll blame Obama for sure, probably the Chinese, and then all those elite Democrats for not being more outspoken about the countermeasures to take.

Everyone who supported him knew he was a piece of shit with tiny hands; they just thought that the harm would fall upon somebody else, and that Democrats would swoop in and pick them up and wipe their bottoms and pat their heads, like they have always done.

He's a no-government radical right pro-business CEO and conservative. He's there to flummox the entire government so his cronies can steal it. People don't matter to him. The pandemic is an obstacle to political and economic goals. He just wants to get it out of the way so he can dismantle more of the government. He is trashing everything Obama and FDR stood for. Cowardice has nothing to do with it.

This fucker is all about excuses! That’s all he’s got plus money to hire thugs and lawyers to strong-arm his adversaries. He’s a total frigging nut case and somehow weaseled his way into our WH.

You know what one of my first as well as best bosses in my profession advised me about excuses when he first hired me?

“There’s no such thing as an excuse after the fact.” What he meant was if you don’t or didn’t foresee or anticipate a problem in achieving a goal, you didn’t do your job. That is, you failed. Identifying a problem after the fact is too late. Basically, be prepared, anticipate the worst, and take appropriate action including giving early alert to superiors or stakeholders. It was great advice!
