Here's the letter in which Trump announces that he is firing the ICIG:

OURStockpileHat Retweeted

Trump’s dead of night decision to fire ICIG Michael Atkinson is another blatant attempt to gut the independence of the Intelligence Community and retaliate against those who dare to expose presidential wrongdoing.

It puts our country and national security at even greater risk.

Not only the one overlooking the intelligence community, but every other IG, too. Then require whistleblowers to present their complaints directly to Barr, which is to say, directly to IQ45. That will keep anymore potential whistleblowers from stepping forward.

As we saw from Trump's "signing statement" when he scribbled his name to the law which creates a $500 billion slush fund, Trump wants to avoid accountability at all costs.

raising more of a fuss over this? And I thought rump didn't have any authority to fire those who provide a check upon the excesses of this administration, it's kind of like hiring the auditors to check your books, and you don't like the results, you fire them. This sticks out like a sore thumb. Something stinks about this whole thing, is rump getting ready to do something else?
