New slang

The English language has a number of colloquialisms that mean "worthless." Phrases like "not worth a damn," "not worth a plugged nickel," "not worth a red cent," "not worth a hill of beans," etc.

I'm starting a new one: "Not worth a Trump promise."

I hope our current situation will cause us to stop using the expression "That went viral." I've always hatted the expression because viruses are a very bad thing and it made light of that. Now, maybe more people will agree with me.

...where (other than daily walks around the suburban block) I've been cooped up since 3/13/20.

Any time one of us even clears his/her throat, it's all, "Oh no! You got The 'Rona."
