"SNIP.....

“Some of the state’s most popular beaches will be allowed to reopen Friday night due to Gov. Brian Kemp’s (R) statewide order superseding that of some city-level shelter-in-place mandates,” the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

“Georgia beach communities, including Tybee Island, had closed in response to local mandates imposed to limit the spread of COVID-19.”

.....SNIP"

There seems to be a certain toe-hold of infection the Heritage Foundation politicians seem to want before they will completely close things.

That would certainly be one way to help them out.

Under Georgia Law as just Negligent Homicide?

Or does Georgia qualify that as actual First Degree Murder? He’s gotta know that such over ruling of local law means that people will die as a direct result.

And can just any citizen in Georgia make a citizens arrest for a felony?

He's basically invulnerable to both civil and criminal remedies for an official act within the scope of his official powers as Governor.

That said, I would love for a Court to prove me wrong and actually hold him liable. I just don't see it happening.

He claimed they were doing it to allow people to exercise during the shutdown. That seems odd since most of his populace would have to drive a great distance to get to the beach.

I would submit his real motive is to maintain right-wing voter support from his business interests and wealthy property owners along the coast.

One sector of that support are wealth property tycoons that own dozens of rentals near the beach, and we know they're bitching about the loss of rentals from people up north driving down to escape the virus spread.

In reality, what will happen is hundreds of young people and MAGAts will flock to the beach just because they can....

Next, the tycoons will be bitching about the crowds.

the hard way, about this virus. It does not discriminate. I imagine any available test kits are being kept for this clown, his aides and wealthy donors?

The private doctors of the wealthy almost certainly have easy access to test kits, as do high-level politicians.
