Has anyone had a MAGAt defend Trump in the last couple of weeks?

I am in the heart of red states and none of them have Defended trump but in the last week all of them have admitted to being very concerned, and not able to find a way to blame democrats has them really confused. Most of them seem to agree that this isn’t getting better and the news coming out of Washington is misleading.

Right-wing online political sites seem more focused on shifting blame elsewhere, though.

China, the WHO, etc.

My evangelical sister hasn’t replied to my last two texts after I shared a video of how FOX News has backtracked on their “hoax” claims.

She doesn’t watch it, but her husband watches it constantly.

Because this was at work, I refrained from tearing off my mask and screaming all things I wanted to scream in his face along with a cloud of potentially-lethal particles. (I'm hardly-working in an airport bagroom because I'm 'essential.' ) I just pointed out that every business his precious "businessman" ran, he ran into the ground and left it to others to take the blame and clean up the mess, and he knew that. He bobbled his head up and down and immediately returned to repeating the "I just thought" line like a broken record.

He was lying.

He wanted the obnoxious teevee celebrity to get in there and destroy people's lives for his entertainment while he giggled and clapped like a small child watching his first cartoon. He never dreamed there would be consequences for him. And when the dust settles, he'll tell himself it he'll be safe this time and he'll vote like an asshole again.

Oh, and there was the dimbulb in the breakroom--playing dominoes masks-free with her buddies who don't wash their hands before leaving the men's room--who was bellowing that "Democrats were holding up" the oversight-free relief bill. Doesn't read, doesn't know, doesn't care; just wants the money and repeats whatever FOXNews tells her without question. "Loudest" means "right."

My right wing cousins have been posting prayers for the president and the nation, which I take as a sign this is not going well for them. My worst RW cousin has said “we’d all be dead under Hillary.” I take that to mean “my guy is doing so poorly I have to distract with some Hillary bashing.”

Our office has been using WhatsAP as joint communication such as letting each other know of glitches in logging in, etc and it’s sort of turned into the office water cooler. The RW employees have had to tolerate a lot of anti-Trump memes and have not said anything in his defense. I thought about telling everyone to tamp down the politics (we actually need to keep spirits up, even for our trumpster employees) but I just thought Naa, Let them feel it.

I can tell you from first hand experience what they are like where I am. They would never think to tamp down the politics or the extremist Christian Identity preaching while they are at it. I usually have to face these assholes alone, because I'm in a small, very small minority that is not anti-gay, anti-women, and pro-racist. I have to hear their crap all the time, because they run things in this entire county. If you dare even disagree with them, they will come after you tooth and nail and the cops and mental health will help them when they claim you are mentally ill for not being right wing Christian where I am from. There so much more to it too.

You are worried about memes offending them. I say don't cut them any slack. They would be coming after your jugular vein if they were the majority. I know from firsthand experience what they are like.

So yeah the ones that follow him out of sympatico hate are still just as hate filled and disgusting as ever. Repugs that have a shred of sense and just voted for him out of party loyalty are turning on him and hard, we have 3 friends/acquaintances in that category. The question is how many of them are the violent haters and how many voted for him for the opportunity to steal from us? The 2nd category are also all in because they think they are getting their rw fascist dreams of a government that does zero for the people and steals all their Social Security & Medicare funds for the oligarchs and ends public school, ends all labor and environmental laws. end all birth control for women (except the rich will of course still get it as desired), all housing laws and make us poor, sick and stupid people who will work for pennies and die young. That is the fascists dream and Cheetolini is doing his best to implement this fever dream, profit immensely, and hurt and kill millions of working class and poor people.

I didn't realize it when I bought them, only later when I went to accept the package. And TBH, if it weren't for the fact that one of the items was stained, I'd probably have regretted not buying them just because she's a loon. I wouldn't want a MAGAt in my house but I don't mind getting a deal from one.

But anyway, when I looked more closely at her profile, I could see all these fervid pro-Trump messages to and from her. Recent ones. It's mindboggling. But Texas hasn't been hit too hard yet, so maybe that's subject to change.
