My theory of what is really going on would have to be in the Creative Speculation forum. None of this is what it seems. There is a backstory here.
We are so used to insanity that we arent able to realize or face up to the lies. Im telling you, this is far beyond the proffered public story.
Yes some of you are dismissive of this but tell me: hasnt everything thats happened in the last three-plus years beyond your ability to script? What would make you think we can possibly accept a simple story line?

This is what it is about, imo. Explains why Kush was so adamant about "our" ventilators! 🤬🤬🤬🤬
And this is just scratching the surface!

Only one guess is allowed.

(46,166 posts)Look at what's happening over the Wisconsin election Tuesday for a state Supreme Court justice. A Dem is trying to unseat one of Walker's guys on the court. The Dems won the right to vote by mail but the Rs took it to court, lost and are now appealing it to the Supreme Court.
They want in person voting. Dems live in more congested areas where it's less safe to vote in person right now. Rs live mostly in rural areas where distancing is far easier.

Jeopardizing the health of voters who don't share your ideology is heinous and not beyond the Rs, "some say".

(36,083 posts)I just thought I could maybe get a clue about the backstory or some "real" script.
Because all this suffering can't be the real purpose of this presidency, could it?
Guess I'm too tired and need to get some sleep.
eleny
(46,166 posts)Sure it could. After all, he's causing a lot of suffering and yet he delays or promises but never delivers.
I'm tired, too. But this has been on my mind for a few years. Given the opportunity I think he'd grab it. And now it appears that he's at it. Nothing motivates him to do different from the course he's on. Not even the health professionals begging on the tv. So my answer to "...could it" is yes.

I just have to go make some plans b, c, d, I think.
And sleep on it. If I can.

So maybe before we came in the front door looking for our own stockpile, which we don't seem to get much from, huh, he was in charge of it. Maybe he was Selling it out the back door?

(253 posts)I am reading a book where the main character and his family live under an oppressive regime. The grandmother reflects back on her life (which wasn't always that way) and longs for the freedoms they used to have, especially for her grandchildren. She likened it to the frog in the kettle analogy.
Think where we are now and all we have taken for granted in the last few weeks. Basic things like groceries, seeing family members and friends, entertainment, eating out, haircuts, all are luxuries now for the entire country at once. We have accepted this new reality because we have no choice for the sake of our health and lives. Many have lost their jobs and I live in an area of the country where I know many people who have this disease, one good friend is in ICU on a ventilator (no preexisting conditions).
What we have had to accept as normal in the past month weeks is nothing short of astounding and this has altered our perception of what is tolerable for the good of the population.

(253 posts)to accept even worse because our perception of what is normal has changed-when our lives as how they used to be get further back in the rear view mirror the horrors that have been carefully planned are easier to install

He's a sociopath and at best he's indifferent to the cruelty, suffering, and death. At worst he's reveling in it.
Capitalizing on this pandemic to move us closer to an authoritarian state is the plan. If it hadn't been the pandemic some other catastrophic event would have been subbed in.

(12,712 posts)There is going to be a really big wake up call soon for many people and denial or arguments about it won't be an option.
The Spectacle is a show and the Simulation is an ersatz version of what is going on; a mere depiction full of noises. However, it is not all the hidden or secret either. It is something that people in this country are not at all used to or familiar with in real life, they have only heard about it somewhere else in a different time.
We don't want was is coming to happen. Waking up to that might be useful early on, if not to forestall it, but to grapple with it and cope.
