It just breaks my heart to see Chris Cuomo as he fights this awful disease. I want to tell him to use all of his strength to fight this disease and get better. Yet, Im also thankful that he is able to explain to us what this disease is like. Many of the other celebrities were asymptomatic or had mild disease. Anyway, Im adding him to my prayers tonight along with every other person fighting this disease.

(5,008 posts)that when he woke up this morning his son was watching him sleep. He said he knew he was trying to be sure that he was still alive. 😢
He mentioned that it is so hard to focus. He said he can drift look away for what he thinks is minutes and a few hours have passed.
The other night he said he has hallucinations. He saw his father by his bedside. He also saw his brother dancing around the room. He said the nights are the worst because of rigors.
He said he has a constant fever. He sweats all the time. He has lost 13lbs in 3 days.
He said his main fear right now is that he might get a secondary infection like pneumonia once the virus clears up.
He said he knows that he is blessed to have family and friends that help him. And that he is blessed to not have to worry about the financial part. He said now he understands how difficult this must be for everyone else going through it.
You could just tell that he felt awful. 😢 Sanjay told him that he really needs to take some time off. I hope he rests this weekend..
isn't he in isolation? Why isn't he in a hospital?

(11,612 posts)I'm not sure why he isn't in the hospital. Maybe because the hospitals are overwhelmed right now. I worry about his son breaking dad's quarantine. I hope he didn't touch his father and stayed six feet away from him.

(11,476 posts)Told me today that on his virtual doctor appt they told him not to come unless he cant breathe. Thankfully he tested negative to virus. But he has all the symptoms, I told him if it doesnt go away test again sometimes there are errors. I didnt know but we have drive through testing in town. He is a school teacher but they have been homeschooling for last two weeks.
We talked across the court. Still freaked me out because my husband talked to him 10 days ago over at his house only a few feet apart and touched his truck looking at it.

(51,574 posts)That is super dangerous. He says he's been checking his oxygen level with one of those finger oxygen saturation meters, but I wonder if he's really been doing it regularly as he's getting sicker. He says he's been losing track of time. Scary.

(3,282 posts)He's having fever dreams. You don't have to be asleep and they can feel very real. I remember having one as a kid where I was staring at the ceiling and would have sworn that the whole thing was growing right in front of me.
He has an oxymeter he is using to keep check on is O-Sats, he's shown it and talked about it. He has talked about having fevers going up to 102 and 103. Although, he has mentioned that he's letting his fevers go as much as he can stand because they are beneficial to fighting the virus.
His case would still be considered mild, although it seems he is on the upper end of mild compared to other people who have talked about their cases. But considering he is in NYC, he isn't going to be admitted to a hospital unless he is in more distress than he currently is. He's being monitored well, I'm sure if he needs to he will be admitted. However, he's able to appear onscreen and hold conversations. As long as he's able to do that he's probably still ok.
