Administration says it will reimburse hospitals for treating uninsured coronavirus patients

The Trump administration announced Friday that the federal government will reimburse hospitals treating uninsured patients for the novel coronavirus using funds allocated in a the recent relief package passed by Congress.

"Today, I can so proudly announce that hospitals and health care providers treating uninsured coronavirus patients will be reimbursed by the fed government using funds from the economic relief packed Congress passed last month," President Trump said at a White House briefing.

"This should alleviate any concerns uninsured Americans may have seeking the coronavirus treatment."

The announcement came after the administration said it would not re-open ObamaCare enrollment in order for uninsured Americans to purchase health care on federally run exchanges. After being pressed on the decision, Trump indicated Thursday that he was considering a plan to cover costs of medical care for uninsured Americans.

I'll believe it when I see it.

EVEN IF they did reimburse them, I can tell you, guaranteed, First Health of the Carolinas will still charge the uninsured and try to take uninsured people's homes and cars and anything else they can get their hands on to get paid by the uninsured. Do I believe Trump would reimburse them? Hell, no. But, even if he did, they would still charge uninsured patients, because they know most uninsured patients would not know about the reimbursement. There is nothing First Health of the Carolinas would not charge for. I am surprised they do not charge for the oxygen in the fucking air inside their doctors' offices and hospitals. All the do is preach to you about God the whole time you are there too.

I call bullshit on the claim and even IF they did, I can guarantee most uninsured people would find themselves not getting it, not eligible, even if they should be.

The bottom line is that if a state expanded Medicaid, it is because they gave a shit about their uninsured in the first place. They might stand a chance in those states.

States that did not expand Medicaid and allow ONLY one insurance company, like in my case, as a monopoly that wants $500 a month with a $9,000 deductible for coverage that does not even cover medicines or visits or anything else, they are going to find a way to make sure those of us who are still uninsured do NOT get any help.

I'm staying home and dying if I get it. They won't find my body until the taxes are due and my hometown comes to evict me. At least that will be one day I can have a home when I die. Otherwise, First Health would take it. Hell, they would find a way to take it if I had stitches or anything else, because they charge so much and are so relentless, along with every doctor in this area. I once got a $1500 bill from an anesthesiologist when that anesthesiologist provided absolutely NO services for my stitches. I saw him walk by the door, take my chart out, sign it, then I got a bill from him. I got no service at all from him. Nothing. That is how they work here. I'd rather die than give them one more cent.

When it was announced he would do this today I asked about the states that don't have good insur (Covered CA just allowed for a new enrollment period extended for the pandemic). A lot of states have junk insur like you have. I sincerely doubt they will be helping people out and the same goes for tRump's reimbursement claims.
