Coronavirus hot spots are 'erupting across the South': report

[link:https://www.rawstory.com/2020/04/coronavirus-hot-spots-are-erupting-across-the-south-report/|

NO ICU BEDS!!!!!! 😳🤯

“St. John the Baptist Parish, just southeast of Baton Rouge, La., has a population of just over 43,000 — and the highest per capita coronavirus mortality rate in the nation,” Politico reported. “In New York, a 1,000-bed Navy hospital ship is now docked and officials have been setting up makeshift morgues and marshaling thousands of health care workers. But St. John has no hospital within the parish boundaries, and many of its neighboring parishes have no ICU beds.”

Much more at link.

Who here is surprised! Not!

and I think a DU member posted it. It showed the amount of miles per day that people are traveling nationwide, on a state-by-state basis. The map and the description of the map showed that the more people are traveling within their state, the more likely they are to spread the virus. It showed that, by far, those traveling the most were from southern states. The Old Confederacy.

It's the Old Confederacy that will get hit the hardest, likely because they won't have the equipment to save the serious cases, AND because they listen most closely to Limbaugh ("It's the same as the Common Cold!&quot and (It's just like the flu." )
Trump.

walk to the grocery store. My nearest Walmart, not that I'm going, is a half hour away. Have some compassion.
