Strategic National Stockpile description altered online after Kushner's remarks

The official government webpage for the Strategic National Stockpile was altered Friday to seemingly reflect a controversial description of the national repository that White House adviser Jared Kushner offered at a news conference Thursday evening.

According to a brief online summary, the stockpile's role "is to supplement state and local supplies during public health emergencies. Many states have products stockpiled, as well."

But hours earlier, the text characterized the stockpile as the "nation's largest supply of life-saving pharmaceuticals and medical supplies for use in a public health emergency severe enough to cause local supplies to run out."

The revision comes after Kushner argued at the daily press briefing of the White House coronavrus task force Thursday that the stockpile's reserves are exclusively the property of the federal government.

Because way, way back in January, Trump should have enacted the DPA requiring companies to mass produce much needed equipment. This equipment is for the STATES, not the Trump syndicate's coffers. Also, the stockpile is supposed to be inventoried every year. They are claiming equipment with a 2010 expiration date was received in Alabama, all of which had dry rot. WTF is going on here?
