any thoughts of this being a happenstance situation any longer.

I think that the opportunity of a pandemic was seen as the green light to accelerate a hostile takeover that was already in the planning stages if not already agreed upon plan. If not in the worm infested mind of the orange one but those who place and keep him in power.
