I'm retired and my only income is my SSI check. Anyone know if we retirees will automatically get a stimulus check?
thanks

(4,783 posts)1. Good news for many ...
If you are receiving Social Security benefits but didnt file taxes in 2018 or 2019, you would be eligible to receive a stimulus check for $1200 one-time without a tax return based on data available to the IRS from your annual Social Security benefits statement. The government would send you a check using the information from your Form SSA-1099 Social Security Benefit Statement or your Form RRB-1099 Social Security Equivalent Benefit Statement. You would not have to file a 2019 tax return to get a stimulus check.

your "stimulus" money will be also.

The final bill, thanks to the Dems have it at 1200

(3,557 posts)4. I'm wondering about the same thing, but I believe SSDI recipients will get it
Im curious to see if my kids will get a stimulus payout through my SSDI dependent benefits or through my ex-wife and her tax filings. She claims them as dependents when she does her taxes.

(1,586 posts)13. People claimed as dependents will not get a check
