If this virus has been around for a while, it might answer some puzzling questions about

entertainers who had sudden and similar illnesses. These are people who travel. French Montana became ill with what they thought was dehydration but he remained in the hospital for quite a long time and had respiratory issues. Meek Mill has also admitted that he had something that was sudden and so severe, he thought it would take him out. Kim Porter, ex girlfriend of Puff Daddy, died suddenly and they said it was pneumonia. I might be stretching, but it makes you wonder.

The symptoms are pretty different when it comes to truly serious cases, and those seem to be a pretty consistent percentage of those who fall ill (by age/comorbidity). If it had spread far and wide, there'd be more immunity now and there'd have been reports of the set of symptoms that might have caught the CDC's attention. Yes, most of the symptoms are flu-like, but the most serious symptoms are very not flu-like.

It was circulating in November in Wuhan and advanced cases reported on social media in China around 12/20--which is consistent with scores of cases circulating in Wuhan in November. The doctor reporting it was quickly shut down, and even after the genome was isolated and local doctors worried it wasn't reported. It was admitted a month after the first informal social media report, about the same time we had the first case in the US.

I figure there was a good chance that it might have reached the US a bit earlier, but most of the cases seem to be direct descendants of the outbreak in Kirkland. Not all, and timing when they reached the US is probably impossible without testing old samples.

she traveled to Colorado, through two airports. She said she literally thought she was going to die and had a terrible time breathing - she has chronic asthma. It was very scary. She is convinced that she may have had some form of this. She is sick again and currently waiting for results from her C19 test. I was in contact with her and have a compromised immune system, so we are both at home, waiting for results.

The doctor told her back then that they were getting people in with similar symptoms and it was puzzling because they all tested negative for the flu but all had similar symptoms.
