Are we watching the ultimate quid pro quo?

#orangeface has this thing and it is golden (tests, masks, gowns, vents, etc.). He will make his enemies (Gov. Cuomo) beg for it. That will make him look big to his base. His base says "let the old people die to save the economy." That's why he hasn't released supplies, well that and his richy rich base wants to make money off the suffering.

Easter means nothing to him. How could it when so many people are dying and he won't help. It's a play for reelection.

Moscow Mitch will block anything that remotely helps people.

We are on our own.

Kathleen Blanco had to beg on TV before the Bush administration understood the scope of the problems caused by Katrina.

I'm not sure he can be shamed.

I wished some one in yesterday's presser would have asked him to his face the question that Cuomo asked: what is Cuomo going to do with the 26,000 people that do not have needed ventilators.

What was he talking about when he stated in his town hall that Cuomo should have ordered 16,000 ventilators two years ago? Does anyone know?

I think shame has a lot to do with Trump's personality. From what we can glean of his upbringing it appears, to me, that shame was a big part of how his parents raised him. Shame and lack of approval. That, along with an authoritarian upbringing helped shape him into the sociopath he is now. The theory is sociopaths are not born, they're made. His parents made him the awful, soulless creature he is now.

You see his fear of shame and his severe need for approval all the time. His hate rallies are a perfect example of his need for approval. His firing of any person who gets more press than him is another example.

His firing people who privately say he's a moron or publicly contradict him, which makes him look bad, is a response to his fear of shame and looking foolish.

Sadly, all his behaviors cause the exact opposite effect of what he desires. With normal people, not his cult. They're a whole other parcel of psychological messes.
