My small town in NJ has seven CV cases.

All 30-something in age. All but one is asymptomatic. The other has a cough.

We have less than 10,000 residents in a space of five blocks by 10 blocks.

All are self-quarantined.

That seems like an awful lot of cases.

around NYC or Philadelphia, then your small town is really just a part of the metropolitan area of a much larger place. Having worked in the former of the two areas, I know that there is a large concentration of people who have connections that go all over the world. It was inevitable that C-19 would show up in such a place early and often.

His wife and mother in law were quarantining themselves in their house.
It was just announced that there are 2 more cases today. I do know that my neighbor is in the hospital now, and no one is able to contact his wife. I also live in a small town in NJ. People commute by bus and train to NYC.

Because of HIPPA laws, the identities of the people infected aren't disclosed. I found out because a friend of the wife called me to tell me. I rang their bell about two weeks ago and his mother-in-law opened the door, stood back, waved me back and said that she had bronchitis. It's past two weeks now - no symptoms, so I feel better. I isolated myself after that incident. Worried about my neighbors!

So much anxiety!

There must be vast numbers of asymptomatic young people all over the country.

I moved from Dumont to NC 4 years ago but still follow my old town closely. Hope you and everyone in NJ pulls through this.

Population about 13,000. Newark is becoming a hot spot and Belleville next to it. This is community spread at its worst. I see it creeping down the Bloomfield Avenue toward our town, plus many many commuters to NYC who most likely have been infected.

Yesterday I had a procedure in a surgery center across from a larger hospital further along the suburban corridor that already had 19 Covid19 cases. The surgery center was closing that day to make room for extra beds for overflow from the hospital.
