OMG! I just googled the number of tests done by each state.

The reason the number of cases in New York has increased is because they increased testing. Over 60,000 tests done. The next closest state is Washington with 30,000. Thank you Cuomo.

Florida around 11,000, Texas less than ten thousand, etc. That's unbelievable, Most States don't know how many people are infected. Most States are not testing on a large scale. If they did their number of cases would look like New York.

I am convinced this is going to get really bad because we are not testing like we should be. Trump, the Republicans cannot not hide the truth about the virus.

Cuomo is telling the truth. Other Staes are going to get hit hard, they just don't know it yet because they are not testing like they should be.

without all these other states testing people. Imagine what it really is at.

The math is easy to figure out. Because we did not test early and are still not testing like we should, many people are going to die. I believe it will easily be in the ten of thousands. Our nightmare has just begun.

If CA were testing at same rate as NY and WA, I think the CA detected numbers would surpass current national total (and of course, testing is still not widespread enough to determine number of actual cases. It's a given actual surpasses number detected.

Numbers from yesterday

WA
31,000 tests
7.5 million
1 per 240 people
2000 cases
6.5% positive rate
Cases detected 1 per 3,750
Reported deaths 95 (1 per 79,000)

NY
78,000 tests
19.5 million
1 per 250 people
20,875 cases
Positive rate 27%
Cases detected 1 per 934
Reported Deaths 157 (1 per 124.000)

CA
Unable to find testing information more recent than 3/21
25,000 tests ?? (3/21 report of 12,500 processed with about the same amount awaiting results)
39.6 million
Accuracy questionable but 1 test per 1584 people??
1,828 cases (massive underestimate due to limited testing)
Positive rate 7%??? (Seems extremely low given that they are apparently only testing severe cases where result of test would affect treatment. I suspect their reporting is way off on this.)

Of course, testing is still not widespread enough to reflect anything near "real" numbers, but the level of ramp up in WA and NY in the past 10 days or so is extremely encouraging.

Testing tells who has the virus.

The carriers need to be removed and quarantined until well - not sent back to their families to infect the whole fucking crowd.

trDumpie has no intent or desire to test for the presents of the virus. Those numbers the factual number of the people that actually caught the virus trDumpie fears will impact his re-election chances in a very negative way.

So trDumpie want to fudge the numbers and construct a fabricated reality - as the virus spread coast to coast.

We lost precious time of two and one half months (75 days) where trDumpie ran around calling this a hoax. Rather than procure a valid test, massive public testing, locate those infected and quarantined so the virus was contained not spread all over.

This is criminal the way he is handling this.

At this point I just assume that I probably have Covid as does most of the folks around me. We've got 3 International Airports right here and this thing has been "known" to be kicking around in the US since Jan 20th. That coupled with the supercluster guy from New Rochelle having at least 50 folks attributed just to him when the lock down there happened.

That sort of quick spread coupled with a two month lead time makes believe that the majority of Metro NY'ers and a good part of the tristate area. If we had the testing we'd find that out but thanks to president momo that's been delayed, stalled and completely fucked.

I disagree with Cuomo's politics sometimes but this guy is handling this shit like a mf'n boss. How fast we can go at getting mass testing done is probably going to reveal we had no idea how far and fast this thing had spread.

Anyway, fuck trump for not getting help and trying to actively kill NY'ers with his bullshit. Could have had these fucking tests months ago. Watch his next step be to blame us for not getting them months ago while he was calling it a fucking hoax..........

I wish Kansas would do something about this. Geeze Louise we had 500 kits, ran out. Then we got several hundred more from the CDC, that made headlines but I would suspect due to the numbers of tests KDHE is doing per day those are gone or almost gone. They are testing only the people who are "at risk". We all are at risk but I do agree the health care workers and first responders should be tested first but then we are out again. The headlines in my paper tell me there are 55 confirmed cases and that headline is next to a headline that says there are 98 confirmed and the site that publishes the state numbers has been at 85 since last night.

We are fine, doing what we are supposed to to minimize risk and we live out in the country. My son does work here now and will come and go from his construction job but is very careful as is the other guy he works with. Still, I want to know. My county, the county of the state government, has had no cases. I do not believe this. Ahh well, I just like to know the numbers and would like to know that we can get or are asking for testing.

Am I infected and passing it on? Without knowing who is a carrier, being at work is a day in Las Vegas but the stakes are my health and life. I'm not willing to make that bet nor will anyone else make that bet for me.

We need massive testing.
