6. The day before yesterday I got spam message from a

a purveyor of "marital aids." It was an inadvertent, but perfect, summary of the nation's political situation in the face of the pandemic:

I am surprised I don't get ads for douche bags, I use that comment in messages at least as often as dildo. I suppose no one sells asshats....

8. i've known some people with interesting names...

i know someone whose actual given name is james bond. and yes, he goes by james.

i know a woman whose last name is plato. she didn't take her husband's name when she got married. while fully supportive, i asked her why, and she said, "are you crazy? if your last name was plato, would you *ever* change it??"

and i went to high school with the triece twins, fir and pine.
