(63,221 posts)She was hardly elderly, for those who think this virus only takes out the aged. The poor woman was in the prime of her life and if proper detection and care had been available she might have lived.

(9,988 posts)There's so much about it we don't know. We don't actually know why some people die and others live. That's why it's so terrifying. Could she have been saved? Maybe, but maybe not.
It's so clear who is at most risk though. It's the people who work with people. Teachers, school staff, health care workers, retail and food service, drivers, transit workers, etc. The people whose labor has gone undervalued already.
