In the Repubs' "relief package"..."payroll tax suspension," setting the tax rate to 0% for the year

Here are 5 of the most significant proposals attached to the Senate’s coronavirus stimulus bill

https://www.rawstory.com/2020/03/here-are-5-of-the-most-significant-proposals-attached-to-the-senates-coronavirus-stimulus-bill/

The fourth that Lesniewski describes in Roll Call is “payroll tax suspension,” which is being proposed by Sen. David Perdue of Georgia and Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina (both Republicans). Those senators are “seeking a broad payroll tax holiday, having filed an amendment setting the tax rate to 0% for the year,” Lesniewski notes.

SS and medicare?

This makes no sense. Increase unemployment benefits, reduce loan repayment requirements, prevent foreclosure and evictions, protect local town and municipal govts, and make sure critical services and infrastructure is protected.

The last people who need help are the working rich who would receive the lion's share of that benefit while disallowing income for ssi/Medicare and unemployment.

Just exactly what is the efficacy of tax cuts in treating viral infections. note; you two repub senatorial nincompoops, when medical professionals use the phrase "double blind study" they are not referring to your blazing stupidity. Really, what is your scientific or rational argument for a tax cut on those still being able to work, as opposed to temporarily subsidizing those citizens unable to work due to national emergency. True idiots
