I have a very good friend in Nashville who thinks mr pete & i have overprepared.
She is a nurse outside of Nashville. She has a niece working at Vanderbilt.
I need to call her again.

(18,672 posts)She wasn't in pain, but she was drowning in her lungs. It was awful to watch her anxiety and being unable to breathe. Part of me knew then that was the way I was going to go. Maybe it was guilt. She was a very difficult person, even in dying, but I loved her.

(2,042 posts)Its bizarre to me people would look at preparedness and think its a bad thing.

(14,860 posts)Wouldn't want gunk dropping down from the overhead contaminating everything.
Figured theyd need better lighting than a typical garage too. The stop ceiling accommodates that. Still seems like it would be cold.
It does look cold.

(15,805 posts)shortage of hospital beds. That set up would be suitable for lots of patients not associated with the corona virus. Acute medical problems, ortho, some post ops, or patients needing to be on a monitor.
Looks like they put down a floor covering. I'd like to see some plastic enclosures to provide some safety protection from dust other junk getting tracked in that you wouldn't worry about in a regular hospital setting.

(13,776 posts)Thank goodness the hospital knows a little bit more about medicine and emergency preparedness than the very stable genius does.
