(82,849 posts)The bike kept getting flats, and we had to buy a new tire and tube, as well as some other work to be done. The bill came to about $30, which was a LOT of money for two kids. We scraped the money together and paid the bill, then my brother started in figuring on just how much each of us had contributed to the bill, thinking he was getting rooked. I finally just said, "John, it's a bill. You're not supposed to make a profit!"

(6,414 posts)The fact of the matter is that at some point we ARE going to have to go back to our daily lives, but to attempt to do so without a plan in place to curb the spread of the virus is going to make a recession far WORSE than the one he's trying to mitigate.
