Imagine if he called it the “Jewish virus.” Imagine if Jewish Americans are being attacked because of it. How does that feel?

1. No one here does. It's the Trump pandemic for the same reason

the ACA is commonly called Obamacare after the presidential administration under which it was made to happen.

But Trump's disordered, and I really feel the honor belongs to the Republican leadership who knew this holocaust would grow if they did nothing and delayed action until it became politically untenable.

Note that payments to people temporarily out of work will not put dead retired and disabled citizens back on the rolls of the entitlements they'd paid into for decades.

2. "Chinese" is an ethnic group. Not a virus. Not a place.

There is a big difference between a geographic description and an ethnic group. “Virus from China” refers to location of origin. “Chinese virus” is a slur.

MERS does not target an ethnic group. Nor does “Ebola virus.” (They don’t call it Ebolese virus, do they?)
