Gotta get the details right! The New England states have a unique quality - every state's "nickname" is a friendly reminder for highway safety! Informing the casual tourist or visitor about what hazards they may strike if they leave the road. The Granite State, The Green Mountain State, The Pine Tree State, The Ocean State, the Bay State, and the Nutmeg (?) State.

(17,939 posts)Machiavellian, yes. But the fact remains, this virus is tough on older people and stats show older white folks are more likely to vote Republican. Within that age group, those who do identify as Republican, particularly older white folks, are more likely to consider COVID-19 a hoax or not something to worry too much about. Many Evangelicals are leaning more towards continuing their services on Sundays as usual. So, it seems those more likely to vote Republican are intentionally making themselves more vulnerable. To me, that has interesting implications for the fall.
