(19,566 posts)I'm almost back to using my donated (by a friend) industrial roll. I still cannot find TP in my local stores. Supposedly, I might get some in two more weeks when I curbside if they're not out that day before they fill my order. 😑

I saw that sign.. still no TP but they had 4lb bags of quinoa which they didn't have last Friday. So now I have 20lb of the stuff including 2 bags coming from amazon. That makes me feel better!
I have a plan B for TP.. so that's good.
How are you doing, Cats? Stay Safe!
I'm glad you have some precious essential items! I'm ok, here, too. I have a curbside pickup scheduled for April 2, and so long as I can get the food (or similar food) then I'm ok. My sweet grand littles are out of milk, and I couldn't find any for them today. So, I'm feeling a tad defeated.
They shut down Amazon pantry today... which was my lifeline, which makes me a tiny bit nervous.
I'm actually working to trade a liter of hand sanitizer I have for some TP on Nextdoor now. How weird is that?! This is all completely outside of my wheelhouse. But, I successfully traded a previous liter of sanitizer for diapers and wipes a week ago, so I guess it's like gold now? I'd just gotten my 8 liters of commercial refills for my hubby's business delivered before it all went poof.
You take care of you, ok? I mean that. You're too faraway for me to help you substantially right now, so fill your panty as best you can and be safe. Please?

(297,507 posts)their milk, Cats!
What is the amazon pantry that shutdown?
Wheeling and Dealing like days of old.. I can imagine.. we're Doing what we have to for any possibility.. have to keep ourselves and our families supplied for any contingency.
This is all outside of my wheelhouse.. I was late to the pandemic crisis.. so it's like one day it was the usual dealing with life and then 180 the next day dealing with life and death on a Global Level!
So Thank Goodness for Friends!

(19,566 posts)It was (even after the subscription price) a cheaper way to buy essentials.
If you did it right, their prices were lower (often way lower) than the grocery, then you'd get an extra 5-15% off of everything, plus 5% back if you use an amazon card to purchase. . I've used it for a few years to keep my daughter and I stocked up. It saved us a lot of money. Today it ceased to exist. They couldn't keep supply to meet demand. They say they're coming back, but no mention of when.
Thanks for the good luck, Cha. I'll fix them up tomorrow. I'm doing the local crush at 8AM when the stores open. Exposure be damned.
They're trying to limit exposure by only allowing us in 10 per que with the total only exceeding enough to keep us 6' apart per the total square footage, but there's no real control once inside. I'm just grabbing my 2 gallons (limited) of milk and dashing. They'll be fine until my curbside slot comes through.
This is all so strange to me, but I'm adapting on the fly. I guess we all are?
Peace and love to you, my friend.

Mahalo for telling me that about the amazon pantry.. wow.. great service! I can imagine they couldn't keep up with the demand.. Crazy!
I ordered some zinc lozenges last week and they were out of stock but supposed to be coming by the 23rd of March. They're reported to be very good to defeat the virus.. look it up. A friend told me about them on here. It has to be lozenges to take immediate effect in our mouths first.

(19,566 posts)Lay down and let it slowly dissolve slowly for best results. The theory is it helps keep it from migrating into your lungs.
Oh, and I got the milk!

(17,473 posts)This is not about hoarding, this is about safety.
A: One of our core values is safety. Due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic and our inability to monitor products that have left our stores, we are declining all returns (including refunds, store credits and product exchanges) for the safety of our customers and associates.

(2,013 posts)Makes you think twice about selfishly hoarding if you can't "undo" the mistake, should it turn out to be one. This might be more effective than "Limit 2 Per Customer".

(17,473 posts)I hadn't considered the safety aspect until I saw the Kroger update. The less people that touch what I buy the safer I am.
