My brother in nyc is having flu like symptoms......

He is 63, has a heart condition, diabetes, and other issues. He said his symptoms are just coming on but mild so far; but do include fever and a dry cough. His doctor told him he can't be tested yet and to just self isolate and wait.

He has been working from home for a week, but he lives in a small one bedroom with a minuscule kitchen so he has to go out to get food.

And so it will go. He is lucky to be an early case; the hospitals aren't saturated yet. But in a week?

Cuomo was right. It is everywhere right now in the city. Good luck all......

A couple of weeks ago I offered for him to come up here and weather it out. He didn't want to leave the city.

I get it, but this thing is crazy.

his neighborhood has that online, newsletter “next door”— through that neighbors sign up to do shopping.

The good thing is as you say, hospitals not yet broken if he needs to go. ❤️

Yes, nyc has plenty of options for food and medicine delivery, so he is set for now. Just has to tough it out.
