Schools are closed. So... the grocery stores are packed with kids. Screaming, sneezing.

Back when the toilet paper phenom was starting to mystify us, some of us thought that what *should* be flying off the shelves were fever and cough over-the-counter things (as a potential starter, not a "cure" ) .

So this was my first shopping trip since the buzz kicked up about school closings and the rest. So the places (one grocery chain) were crammed with mommies and a couple of daddies with their school aged KIDS running, screaming, and yes one sneezed while crossing in front of me.

One specific need was dishwash soap besides the OTC thing. I was prepared not to find the paper and thought I was the only ingenious one about OTC. But silly me, GMTA and both the OTC and the dishwash shelves were stripped, and then deeper into the aisles so were the canned meats and fish. Plenty of treats and all for the furries.

***********But the overall point is whether my region is stoopid enough to treat the school closings as a playground at the *STORES*?!1

But parents in a neighborhood should organize themselves for rotating respite so they can shop for whatever.

And many of the adults who were alone were showing signs of a general fun outing with the kids - a.k.a., Yippee NO SCHOOL!1 Yea, making other arrangements would be default.

If so, must be a developmental delay. So, yes, cannot be left alone.

twins home alone all the time for brief errands like that. They are mature enough to take care of themselves for short periods of time and do not need to be dragged along on every outing and errand. They were raised well and are responsible children who know what to do in case of any emergency.

and i saw a post here about 1 grocer limiting first 2 hours to 60+ shoppers
that ought to considered everywhere, older generally are up earlier...
i'd also like to see chains limiting purchases on essentials to 2
mandatory hand sanitizing at front door on entrance
more delivery options etc

wait tilll the mandatory restrictions set in ... its coming i'm sure
