My son just found out that someone in his office tested positive

He said she sat across from him at a meeting last week. He's working from home now for the foreseeable future, but he's been exposed.

This gets more real every day.

He and his wife and toddler daughter seem to be pretty healthy. Hopefully if they get it, it'll be barely noticeable for them.

I generally drive up every Monday morning to take care of my little granddaughter while my daughter-in-law works. She only works two days a week, so I spend the night and then drive home on Tuesday evening. I let her know on Friday that it wasn't happening this week.

My son’s half sister went to a wedding in Portugal and is now stuck there since they closed the borders. Fortunately it seems that Portugal has had very few infected people, though they’ve had 2 deaths.

She would be just as exposed, or not, anywhere, even at home, but the knowledge that if she gets sick there isn’t a damn thing we can do is scary and frustrating.

and Portugal being a latecomer to the Pandemic gives them the benefit of acting faster to stem the worst effects. Hindsight and proactive activity should make things better for all us who are just now getting the virus.

I’m grateful we have Governors who are a hell of a lot smarter than Trump! This is one definite advantage for states having their own autonomous governments.

and remember that very few, relatively speaking, die. Most people recover.
